FY 10 Title V Community Prevention Grants Program

This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.

The Department of Youth Affairs will support two local communities in the coordination and planning of programs, services and activities that are primarily geared towards the reduction of delinquency, promote youth development, strengthen family units, and increase opportunities that foster a healthy and nurturing environment that will lead to the development of responsible and productive law-abiding citizens.
