OJJDP FY 10 Title V Community Prevention Grants Program

This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Tennessee will allocate Title V funds to evidenced-based programs and approaches which are defined as strategies and programs demonstrated through research and evaluations to be effective at preventing or intervening in juvenile delinquency. The State will also provide one-on-one training and technical assistance to subgrantees that will consist of information regarding risk and resource assessments, Policy Prevention Boards, Three Year Plans, Performance Measures, self-evaluation, progress reports/expense reports, and OJJDP's Model Programs Guide and the DMC Best Practices Database.
