The OJJDP FY 10 Earmarks Program furthers the Department's mission by providing grants, cooperative agreements, and other assistance authorized by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, to organizations identified in the Conference Report to accompany the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-117), H.R. Conf. Rep. No. 111-366 at 702-714.
This project will support a staff position in the Klingberg community-based child abuse treatment programs, support a Klingberg Connections program that enables off duty local police to interact and build relationships with Residential Treatment clients, and increase access and training opportunities under Klingberg's Traumatic Stress Institute. This funding will enable staff who are involved in the treatment of abused and neglected children to help rebuild damaged relationships among children, their caregivers, and treatment providers.
