The OJJDP FY 10 Earmarks Program furthers the Department's mission by providing grants, cooperative agreements, and other assistance authorized by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, to organizations identified in the Conference Report to accompany the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-117), H.R. Conf. Rep. No. 111-366 at 702-714.
BGCMRA is proposing to implement the OJJDP Model Program "Boys & Girls Club" Project Learn focusing on short-term and intermediate outcomes. The project will measure progress toward a Delinquency Prevention Logic Model. The goal is to improve the juvenile justice system by increasing the availability of prevention programs and services tailored to the needs of juveniles and their families. The project objectives are to support both State and local prevention efforts and the juvenile justice system improvements. BGCMRA plans to serve 250 Tribal youth from the Yankton Sioux Reservation and 200 rural Caucasian youth from Charles Mix County. NCA/NCF
