The OJJDP FY 10 Earmarks Program furthers the Department's mission by providing grants, cooperative agreements, and other assistance authorized by the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as amended, to organizations identified in the Conference Report to accompany the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2010 (P.L. 111-117), H.R. Conf. Rep. No. 111-366 at 702-714.
This project will continue to operate the Delaware County Center for Violence Prevention Program, which opened in September 2009. The Center serves programs addressing violence via resources, coordination and consultation to improve collaboration and effectiveness of service delivery. The Center activities are to provide: leadership for collaboration between agencies; research best practices; education; maintain a website; update and maintain a resource database; update mapping of resources; develop, evaluate, and implement projects with agencies and provide education on the model. The population to be served will be professionals and agencies through education and consultation and the youth through the work of collaborative agencies with support from the Center. Staff will continue to assess data from all activities, including minutes, evaluations, attendance, website usage and feedback from agencies. NCA/NCF
