Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $356,400)

The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.

The Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP) will continue funding public advertising campaigns, youth/statewide task forces, and innovative programs to prevent and combat underage drinking. GOCCP will continue funding the following activities: Communities Mobilizing for Change on Alcohol (CMCA); Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) training; Reducing the Availability of Alcohol to Minors (RAAM) training, and Compliance Checks.
