Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2010, $356,400)

The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.

The Criminal Justice Planning Agency (CJPA) will continue funding government and local efforts towards the prevention of underage drinking and the enforcing of underage drinking laws. CJPA will continue funding its youth and statewide task forces; innovative programs; and, public advertising campaigns to prevent and combat underage drinking. The following government agencies will receive funding to support EUDL activities and programs, the Department of Public Safety, Attorney General's Office ' Juvenile Prosecutor; and the Department of Commerce's Alcohol Beverage and Tobacco Control Division.
