This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Nebraska will allocate Title V funds for the DMC Program Area. Potential applicants are required to work with the State DMC coordinator to complete their data matrix and are strongly encouraged to utilize OJJDP's Model Programs Guide to implement best practices and/or proven strategies. Additionally, the Nebraska Coalition for Juvenile Justice's DMC Subcommittee will allocate funds to communities that will or are addressing the issue via local prevention and intervention programs.
