This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
The State of South Carolina anticipates making one subgrant award in the coming year. The State will follow a competitive process and give priority to applications that demonstrate the ability to develop data-driven prevention plans and employ evidence-based strategies.
