Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $33,486)
This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Montana will give priority funding to applicants that demonstrate the ability to develop data-driven prevention plans and employ evidence based strategies for the following purpose areas: (02) Alternatives to Detention; (22) Native American Programs;(09)Delinquency Prevention; (10)Disproportionate Minority Contact; (11) Diversion Programs; and (19) Juvenile Justice System Improvement.
