Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $33,486)
This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Ohio will use Title V funds to suppprt one county participating in the State's DMC Initiative and in the Partnerships for Success (PfS) Initiative to provide prevention and early intervention services to reduce number of arrest of African American youth. PfS is a community-based process designed to build capacity to plan, implement and ultimately make decisions about investments in child and family serving interventions.
