This program intends to reduce risks and enhance protective factors to prevent at-risk youth from entering the juvenile justice systems and to intervene with first-time and non-serious offenders to keep them out of the juvenile justice system.
Florida plans to pass through FY 09 to Gilchrist County School Board to continue implementation of "Safe Schools and Students Program - Expanding the Practical Careers Academy", which is an alternative school, focusing on both academics and employability skills.
