Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $360,000)

The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.

The goal of Georgia's Enforcing the Underage Drinking Laws Program is to support and enhance statewide efforts to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. This will be done through statewide compliance checks by the Department of Revenue Enforcement and Control Division's Underage Investigations Group, a statewide media campaign, as well as implementing new EUDL initiatives.
