Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $360,000)
The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.
The commonwealth of Puerto Rico plans to utilize EUDL funding to support law enforcement efforts in conducting compliance checks, supporting a regional taskforce and promoting server training. Puerto Rico will also seek technical assistance from PIRE to assist in implementing the EUDL program.
