Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $360,000)
The goal of the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program is to support and enhance State efforts, in cooperation with local jurisdictions, to enforce laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages, or the consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors. For the purpose of the program, minors are defined as individuals under 21 years of age.
California's EUDL strategy includes supporting and enchancing the State's efforts to enforce laws prohibiting youth access to alcohol on or around high school and college campuses. Funding will also allow California to conduct case study Minor Decoy Operations in order to develop statistical data and determine if regulatory change is necessary.
