Pomona Parents in Action

Pomona Parents in Action will prevent child abuse and neglect and delinquency by reducing risk and increasing protective factors in ethnically diverse families in Pomona, California, through evidence-based Parents Anonymous® Programs. Parents Anonymous® Programs will be provided to 150 families that live in Pomona City Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4. The design and implementation of this Project will ensure and track quality Parents Anonymous® Programs in the creation and delivery of family strengthening, mutual support groups for adults, complementary programs for children and youth, trainings, ongoing technical assistance, extensive coaching, peer-to-peer networking, creative program materials, state-of-the-art website, and culturally relevant outreach and development strategies involving parents/caretakers, local staff, volunteers, and partnering organizations in Pomona. The Project will track changes in risk and protective factors for Project participants.
