At-Risk Youth Arts in Education: Soaring with the Arts Academic Partnership

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra's At Risk Youth Arts Education: Soaring with the Arts is a school-based program that aligns arts learning with state education standards through arts-integrated curriculum ensuring the role of arts in classroom instruction. Arts instruction is supported with well-tested and researched lesson plans, classroom materials, artist visits, experiences and technologies that provide teachers with imaginative learning tools to inspire and motivate students, particularly those who have not been successful with traditional teaching methods. At Risk Youth Arts Education: Soaring with the Arts ensures equitable access to the arts because arts-integrated learning experiences are offered to all students in all classrooms of the participating schools.
