The Community Technology Center (CTC) and the Computer Clubhouse have been an integral part of Grand Street Settlement's (GSS) services to the Lower East Side community since 2002. GSS' technology programming seeks to narrow the digital divide of low-income LES families including over 800 children, youth, adults and seniors, by providing access to computers five days a week, conducting technology-assisted literacy workshops, and offering highly creative, multimedia courses to enhance the literacy and academic levels of LES children, youth, and adults, as well as provide a safe space for creative explorations and positive youth development.
