The A. J. McClung YMCA of Metropolitan Columbus will implement Marshall Movers, a collaborative after-school and summer program for at-risk 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at Marshall Middle School in Columbus, Georgia. Marshall Movers seeks to improve school attendance and academic performance by providing a safe and enriching environment where young people can flourish. The positive changes in the lives of Marshall Movers students and their families will be accomplished by using a Youth Development methodology. The program will report performance measures that include improved school attendance, improved academic performance, development of positive peer associations, and improved interpersonal skills.
