Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $44,717)

Life Transformation Ministry will implement Project Reach to provide a safe, nurturing, spiritual environment to youth in Americus, Georgia. Project Reach will provide educational and recreational services to youth in Sumter County after school and during transition. Specific activities will include workshops on character and self-esteem building, anger management, problem solving skills development, work readiness, and positive community involvement. The program will report performance measures that include improved school attendance, improved academic performance, and a decrease in delinquent behavior.
