The Violence Prevention Program: Rejecting Violence, Building Resilience at Patterson Park Public Charter School, Inc. (PPPCS) seeks to decrease negative behaviors, increase school connectedness, engage and train parents and increase academic achievement. The project consists of social and academic interventions for at-risk students, a parent leadership and training program, professional development for staff, and leadership development for middle school students. The project will serve the 500+ students enrolled at PPPCS in grades K-7 and their parents. The project seeks to serve 50 students in the at-risk afterschool program, 25 parents in the training program, at least 40 staff, and 100 students in the leadership training.
