Save the Children possesses unique programmatic expertise to contribute to the achievement of OJJDP goals by improving outcomes for children, including, academic achievement, and reducing delinquency risk behaviors. Through three years of program development and evaluation, Save the Children has demonstrated an ability to measurably improve children's reading skills through after school and summer programs that also encourage healthy lifestyle behaviors to reduce obesity risk. Additionally, after school programs have been shown to reduce risky behaviors during the critical hours after completing the school day. NCA/NCF
