Eskuwela Kultura Computer Lab

The Eskuwela Kultura (EK) Mobile Computer Lab Initiative is designed to engage youth with their community through multi-cultural arts production by providing a safe learning environment and educational space to gather, create, and develop positive individual and community behaviors and dynamics. In addition, the Initiative looks to train artist-educators in the media/visual/literary arts to facilitate rigorous educational standards while imparting important artistic and cultural understandings, offering an ongoing, comprehensive series of workshops that enable arts, cultural learning and production. Also, the Initiative will foster partnerships among youth participants with their peers, their families, community organizations, and local businesses to strengthen their relationships to and within their neighborhoods. EK hopes to provide a foundation for all participants'from youth to organizations to businesses to each constituent'to enable the sustainability of this program as well as FilAm ARTS as a continuing community facilitator for positive change.
