Bronx Youth Partnership

The proposed program will address delinquency prevention in the North Bronx through a strategy of both increasing protective factors for youth and decreasing risk factors. It will use youth development programs at the three partner agencies to increase opportunities for pro-social activities, positive relationships with supportive adults, and positive connections with school and community, and to improve skills in conflict resolution, academics, college preparation, and employment. At the same time it will seek to reduce early onset of violence, gang membership, and academic failure. It will pursue these goals by involving approximately 305 youth in activities including: Leadership, Community Service, Sports and Recreation, Entrepreneurship, College Preparation, and Internships.
