The Heritage Health Foundation, Inc. (HHFI), manages the '4 Kids Early Learning Program,' which provides early education that improves academic and social outcomes for at-risk youth in Western Pennsylvania. The 4 Kids Bridge Funding Project will provide at least 19 at-risk young children (ages 6 weeks ' 3 years) with temporary funding to maintain full-time attendance at 4 Kids while their parents receive support to address family difficulties. The goal is to improve the school readiness of at-risk young children by 1) helping them develop the early skills necessary for later school success, and 2) improving the functioning of their family environment. Progress will be determined by measuring children's developmental gains after one year at 4 Kids, and by monitoring parents' achievement of individual family goals. NCA/NCF
