Grand Rapids Jobs for Youth

Our Community's Children, a youth advocacy office, and the Grand Rapids Public Schools Youth Employment program will create the Grand Rapids Jobs for Youth program. Fifty Grand Rapids youth, many at-risk, will be offered a paid internship program with local businesses and organizations. By providing real life work experience, Grand Rapids Jobs for Youth will give youth the training opportunities they need to become excellent employees and engaged citizens. Outcomes include: increased employment competency of Grand Rapids youth; increased graduation rates; improved math/reading scores; and greater investment from the business community in the future of our children.
