Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $469,533)
The Wildwood Ranch Youth Challenge Course will increase protective factors among Wayne County's at-risk youth. The primary activity of the program will be a 16 week challenge course program. The second will be a year-round home-visitation intervention program for 40 of the most at-risk youth and a Life Skills training program for their families. The target population for this project will include 200 youth living in treatment or homeless facilities with their parent, or recruited from protective services by juvenile courts and school guidance workers. Progress will be measured by changes in parent's assessment of improvements in targeted areas of behavior and in changes in youth responses to risk scales. Anticipated outcomes are increases in protective factors. NCA/NCF
