Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $134,152)

World Vision's Technology, Education and Empowerment, Advocacy and Mentoring (T.E.A.M.) project seeks to connect at-risk youth in Barbour County, West Virginia with caring adults in significant mentoring relationships. Through one-on-one and small group mentoring and technology training, this project will target up to 70 youth (some of whom will be juvenile justice system-involved youth) for the purpose of increasing their social competence, positive values, leadership skills and other protective factors and therefore reducing their anti-social behavior, and likelihood of arrest. The young people themselves will be involved in the planning and execution of these activities.NCA/NCF
