Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $74,231)
The Morgan County Child Advocacy Center serves children from the ages of three to seventeen years who have been reported to law enforcement and/or child protective services because of suspected sexual or severe physical abuse. The immediate goals of the Morgan County CAC are to reduce the trauma that child abuse victims experience by having a trained professional interview them about the alleged abuse in a safe, comfortable setting and to offer immediate counseling to children who may be at-risk.
