This award supports the National Center for the Prosecution of Child Abuse (NCPCA). The Center provides training and technical assistance (T&TA) to prosecutors, investigators, and other professional personnel in the child protection field. It also develops training and resource materials for the field. Training to the field is provided through national, regional, state, and local conferences and workshops. Major topical areas covered in NCPCA's training include courses on basic investigation and prosecution of child abuse, investigation and prosecution of child deaths and physical abuse, multidisciplinary investigation and prosecution of computer facilitated sexual exploitation of children, and forensic interviewing.
