Heal Our Valley - SIR Tribal Youth Program to provide prevention services to impact risk factors for deliquency with youth.

The Susanville Indian Rancheria (SIR) will design and implement a prevention program, "Heal Our Valley" that combines the cultural heritage and values of their tribes and the resources of the community. The program will complete a comprehensive community assessment to identify specific prevention strengths/weaknesses and areas of need. They will then build a prevention program that minimizes duplication and maximizes delivery of services to reduce factors leading to delinquency including substance use, antisocial behavior, truancy, gang involvement, gun violence, and poor academic performance. Performance measures will include the number of program youth and /or families served, the percentage of program youth who offend or reoffend, and the percentage of youth exhibiting desired changes in targeted behaviors.
