Project HOPE

The Mechoopda Indian Tribe will implement "Project HOPE" (Healing Our People Emotionally) to provide prevention services to Mechoopda youth to impact risk factors for juvenile delinquency. Program goals are to increase youth academic achievement and parental involvement and decrease truancy rates among targeted youth. This will be accomplished through intense case-management for at-risk youth; targeted academic support; and activities designed to encourage parental involvement with youth. Performance measures will include types of counseling and services provided and changes in youth's and their families' attitudes and behavior. CA/NCF
