Play It Smart is a school-based program that uses participation in sports to promote participants' academic, personal, and career development. The program currently operates in 136 schools across the U.S. The current grant funds will allow the program to serve an additional 10 under-resourced schools. Performance measures include: number of program youth served; graduation rates; college acceptance rates; and number of community service hours performed. NCA/NCF

The program currently operates in 136 schools across the U.S. The current grant funds will allow the program to train additional staff, and improve their data collection strategies to accurately assess the impact of the program. Performance measures include: number of Academic Coaches trained; number of program youth served; number of community service hours performed by participants; and graduation rates for youth involved in the Play It Smart Program.
