Note:
This awardee has received supplemental funding. This award detail page includes information about both the original award and supplemental awards.
The Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Program has now been in operation for more than a decade. The Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center (UDETC) has helped to strengthen and focus the efforts made through the EUDL Program. The UDETC provides support and services to States and local communities working toward the prevention and enforcement of underage drinking. Services include science-to-practice based trainings and technical assistance, facilitated research-to-practice efforts for the EUDL discretionary programs, state-wide research dissemination and strategy development, the development and implementation of a National Leadership Conference, research-to-practice document production and distribution, and research-based national electronic seminars. The UDETC continues its commitment to evidence-based enforcement practices and environmental strategies. This award will allow PIRE to continue the services of the UDETC and to further refine, improve, and strengthen its efficiency and effectiveness. The Center maintains databases to monitor its activities and the progress of service recipients. This monitoring ability allows for further knowledge development, dissemination of effective strategies, and refinement of the efforts of the Center. NCA/NCF
