I Have a Dream Foundation (IHAD) will provide technical assistance, support, and resources to states across the country. Each of the IHAD chapters provides comprehensive long term mentoring, tutoring, counseling and enrichment activities with the goal of improving academic performance, attendance, graduation from high school and avoidance of destructive behaviors. Additionally, IHAD provides students with goal setting strategies that will assist students in overcoming the obstacles of poverty. Some of the activities include: tracking interactions with prospective chapters; establishing five to ten new sites; continuing the process of opening sites in the Gang Prevention locations of East Los Angeles, Richmond, Milwaukee, North Miami Beach, Honolulu and to use the program as a gang prevention effort; researching the resources and needs of each respective community, and cultivating prospects who may Sponsor a new chapter. IHAD will report performance measures that include system-level improvement activities and the number of chapters that implement evidence-based prevention or intervention models. NCA/NCF
