Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $98,723)

Northwest Austin Council will implement the Exodus to Excellence Initiative to assist lower and moderate income children and adolescents who attend the Chicago Public School System. The goal of the initiative is to alter the attitudes and behaviors of the targeted youth. The prime objectives are to establish a value system for character and social change, instill leadership features and to provide constructive activities. The project will offer mentoring services for 50 adolescents experiencing at-risk and antisocial behaviors and who are involved in the Cook County Juvenile Court System. Referred adolescents will be provided Network Building, Family Support, Academic assistance and Leadership Development throughout their project involvement.NCA/NCF
