The University College, North Carolina Central University will implement the Leadership Institute: Juvenile Mentoring Program to at risk students, grade 9-12 in Northeast Central Durham, North Carolina. The primary goals are to 1) improve academic performance of participants; 2) improve social and leadership development of participants; and 3) increase parental involvement in participant's education. The primary activities will be a one-week residential summer program and twice-weekly mentoring sessions throughout the school year.NCA/NCF
