PMI Continuing Care Program

The Peninsula Marine Institute (PMI) will implement the PMI Continuing Care Program, an intervention and prevention program targeting at-risk youth in Newport News, Virginia. Primary goals are to improve the reintegration to the community process and provide service referral to youth under juvenile court jurisdictional. Primary activities will include: 1) classes on academic skills, employability skills, and pro-social life skills; 2) counseling for youth; 3) assistance with financial aid, employment placement, and enrollment applications; 4) service referral; and 5) collaborating with community partners and other service providers.
