Parents as Teachers Project (PAT)

Lawrence County School District will implement the Parents as Teachers program for at-risk parents under the age of 26 who are working toward their GED. The primary goals for this project are 1) to address risk factors of young parents and 2) increase at-risk children's (age 0-5) academic performance in Kindergarten. The project goals will be achieved through the provision of home visits, parent meetings, parenting instruction, and workforce training.NCA/NCF
