Karamu House will implement the Cultural Arts and Education After School Program, a prevention program for students age 8-15 in Fairfax, Central, Hough, Glenville, and surrounding communities in Ohio. The primary goals are to: 1) improve communication skills; 2) reduce the amount of unstructured free time during out-of-school hours; 3) improve critical and creative thinking skills; 4) improve literacy skills; and 5) improve social interactions. The primary activities will include after school classes in writing, arts, and construction that will culminate with a youth production. Karamu House will report performance measures to OJJDP in their semi-annual Categorical Assistance Progress Reports. NCA/NCF
