Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $24,681)

The New Mexico's Children Youth and Families Department program enhancement will expand the range of culturally appropriate and individually responsive activities presently available to Native American youth. By expanding activity offerings culturally relevant, they hope to offer Native American's positive activities to engage in with potential of connecting Native Americans to the greater community providing access to a larger support structure potentially preventing recidivism.
