The South Los Angeles Beautification Team, part of the Coalition for Responsible Community Development, will partner with the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works Street Services (BPWSS) to implement the Bulky Item Pick-Up and Civic Education/Job Training Program to at-risk youth age 14-18 in Los Angeles Council District 9. The primary goals of the program are to increase financial literacy and employability of youth through the provision of classroom instruction on financial education, leadership, social justice movements, community planning and economic development, job skills, and career planning.
