Art in the Park will expand the Lalo Guerrero School of Music program to 60 children age 9-16 in Northeast Los Angeles. The primary goal is to decrease the community high school drop out rate. The project activities include 1) college counseling sessions and career education; 2) music classes in twelve different areas including individual instruments, choir, song composition, and rock band ensemble; and 3) weekly private instruction.
