The Brooklyn Academy of Music will provide over 4,000 New York City students and youth with challenging and imaginative in-class workshops, dance and music programs, school-time presentations of world-class dance performances, and after-school theater and visual arts residencies for youth-court respondents and participants.
By specifically targeting young people along a continuum of delinquency'ranging from students at risk of developing delinquent behaviors due to environmental factors (such as unstimulating academic settings) to first-time offenders'BAM aims to transform the arts experience into a uniquely engaging tool for prevention and intervention.NCA/NCF
