The Fulton County YMCA will support a teen delinquency prevention program during after school and early evening hours for adolescents and teens in the Gloversville and Johnstown areas. The goal of the program is to reduce the rate of juvenile delinquent behavior and youth related crime by offering a diversionary service program. The program aims to improve teen social and physical skills development through: facilitated group meetings and communications with peers in an informal setting; discussion of current events facing society and today's teen population; development of social skills which enhance a teen's ability to function in society; and physical activities that enhance emotional wellness and physical fitness. The Fulton YMCA will report program effectiveness which will be evaluated against an anticipated decline in juvenile delinquent activity and improved school attendance to OJJDP. NCA/NCF
