Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2006, $98,723)

The Village of Sauk Village will implement recreation and educational activities for youth in Sauk Village, Illinois. The primary goal is to increase youth participation in pro-social structured activities during out-of-school hours. Project activities include a youth summer camp, an after-school program, as well as police and fire cadet programs. The grantee will report on performance measures such as the number of youth served and number of participating youth who offend. NCA/NCF
