The Point Youth Development Program

The POINT Community Development Corporation will continue implementation of THE POINT's Youth Development Program, an academic support, social skills, and recreational program for school-age children from Hunts Point in the South Bronx. The primary goals of the program are 1) to increase the number of students who successfully complete their grade; 2) increase the percentage of youth who read at or above grade level; and 3) improve social skills of participating youth. The project activities include after-school and summer educational and academic support activities (homework help and tutoring), social skills workshops, and arts-in-education activities.NCA/NCF
