Visitacion Valley Community Response Network

The San Francisco District Attorney's Office will partner with community organizations in the neighborhoods of Bayview, Hunter's Point and Visitacion Valley to implement Community Response Network (CRN) models throughout the city of San Francisco. These CRNs will offer intensive case management to youth at high-risk for gang involvement; crisis management to youth and families affected by gang, set and turf, and gun activity; and late-night street outreach to high-risk youth in these communities. The program's goal is to decrease gun violence and gang activity by addressing violence as it happens and prevent future violence through on-street presence and effective case management. Performance measures will include school attendance and performance, attitude changes documented by case workers, and rates of gun violence. NCA/NCF
