The Crossroads Opportunity Center will serve as a multi-service, community based gang intervention center for youth aged 10-22 in two Maryland counties (Montgomery and Prince George's). The primary goal is to deliver prevention and intervention services using strategic public/private collaborations responsive to known risk factors that foster gang involvement. Project activities to be provided and evaluated include youth development programs, family building for Latino parents, African American Male Empowerment Network, mentoring, job placement, recreational opportunities, re-entry case management, relocation and safety planning, mental health therapy, legal support and tatoo removal services.
