The program focuses on core behavioral issues such as truancy, bullying, drug/alcohol use, gang involvement and other potentially harmful trends that disrupt the learning environment, homes and the community. NCEF will utilize grant funds to present several workshop/assembly programs in schools across the country. 'Caring Habit of the Month Adventure' provides K-8 youth with a behavior changing plan to advance academic excellence, leadership, caring and mutual respect. The Peer to Peer Mentoring/Leadership program trains 6th-12th graders to avoid potential dangers and to help their peers become stronger and more productive individuals. NCEF will report performance measures to OJJDP, including number of youth served, number of youth who exhibit desired behavior change, number of youth who commit offenses. NCA/NCF
